Shri Raas Granth : Prakaran 6 : Verse 43 – 52

श्री रास ग्रन्थ : प्रकरण ६ : चौपाई ४३ – ५२

बे वीटी ने हीरा मोती, बीजी बे रंग बे रतन ।
पांच रंगनी पाच एकने, एकने करडा कंचन ॥४३॥

Be viti ne hira moti, biji be rang be ratan |
Paanch rangni paach ekne, ekne karda kanchan ||43||

First two rings have diamond and pearl in them. The third and the fourth have two shining stones (jewels) of two colours. On the fifth ring there are five stones (jewels) embellished in it. On the sixth there is a green gem (harit mani) and on the other two fingers there are bands of gold.

पोहोंची ने नवधरी दीसे, उपर ऊंचा नंग ।
माणक मोती पांना कुंदन, ए सोभे पोहोंचीना नंग ॥४४॥

Pohonchi ne navdhari dise, upar uncha nang |
Maanak moti paana kundan, ae sobhe pohonchina nang ||44||

A bracelet and an ornament made with nine strings are adorned on hands. Big stones (jewels) are embellished on them. In the bracelet there are ruby, pearl, emerald and also other jewels embellished in the gold. They appear very beautiful.

नवघरी ने निरमल मोती, हीरा ने रतन ।
कुंदन मांहे पांना पुखराज, चूड मांहे नव रंग ॥४५॥

Navdhari ne niramal moti, hira ne ratan |
Kundan maahe paana pukhraaj, chud maahe nav rang ||45||

The ornament with nine strings has a clear pearl, a diamond and other jewels. In the gold there is emerald and yellow sapphire embellished. And there are bangles of nine colours on the wrist.

नव रंगनां नंग जुजवा, तेहनां ते जुजवां रूप ।
हुं मारी बुध सारुं वरणवुं, पंण एह छे अदभूत ॥४६॥

Nav rangna nang jujva, tehna te jujva roop |
Hu maari budh saaru varanavu, pan eh che adbhut ||46||

The nine coloured jewels are also embellished differently. Hence their form also appears to be very different. I have described it as per my intellect, but it is amazingly graceful.

नीलवी ने लसणियां सोभित, पाना ने वली लाल ।
माणक मोती हीरा कुंदन, मांहे रतन तणां झलकार ॥४७॥

Nilvi ne lasaniya sobhit, paana ne vali laal |
Maanak moti hira kundan, maahe ratan tanaa jhalkaar ||47||

In these bangles there is sapphire and cat’s eye stone embellished beautifully, along with them there are emeralds and red stones also bejewelled. Ruby, pearl, diamond etc are decorated on gold and other stones embellished are also shimmering.

कोणी आगल कांकणी, जांबु रंग नंग जडाव।
कुंदनना करकरियां सोभे, जोत करे अपार ॥४८॥

Koni aagal kaankni, jambu rang nang jadaav |
Kundanna karkariya sobhe, jote kare apaar ||48||

Near the elbow there is a kankan (kind of a bracelet / bangle) and it has purple coloured jewels. Due to small grains of gold on it these are beaming.

मोहोलिए मोती ने कांगरी, नीली राती चुनी कुंदन ।
वेल मांहे हीरा हार दीसे, इन्द्रावती जुए द्रढ मन ॥४९॥

Moholiye moti ne kangri, nili raati chuni kundan |
Vel maahe hira haar dise, Indravati jue drad mann ||49||

Near the elbow on the opening part of the sleeve or the cuff there is pearl and a border. Above them there are blue, red and golden coloured patches of embroidery. It also has embroidery of climbers which is dazzling like a diamond. Indravati is observing this beauty with attention.

सुन्दर ने सोभे एक जुगते, झण बाजे रसाल ।
चूड केरा छापा अति सोभे, उर पर लटके माल ॥५०॥

Sundar ne sobhe ek jugte, jhan baaje rasaal |
Chood kera chhapa ati sobhe, ur par lakte maal ||50||

The form & the adornment of Shri Shyamaji has been been expressed very elegantly. The bangles make a melodious sound and in them climbers, flowers etc are skillfully decorated and a chain is hanging on the neck.

गाल तणो रंग कह्यो न जाय, अधुर परवालीनी भांत ।
दंत सोभे रंग दाडिमनी कलियो, हरवटी अधुर वचे लांक ॥५१॥

Gaal tano rang kahyo na jaay, adhur parvaalini bhant |
Dant sobhe rang daadimni kaliye, harvati adhur vache laank ||51||

The lustre of the cheeks of Shri Shyamaji cannot be described. Her lips are red like a coral (jewel). The grace of Her teeth is similar to the lines of the seeds (arils) of a pomegranate. The depth of the curve between the chin and the lower lip is clearly visible.

मुख चोक सोभित अति मांडनी, अने झलके काने झाल ।
जडाव माणक मोती ने हीरा, कुंदनमां पांना लाल ॥५२॥

Mukh chok sobhit ati maandni, ane jhalke kaane jhaal |
Jadaav maanak moti ne hira, kundanma paana laal ||52||

The divine countenance of Shri Shyamaji is very glorious. She has earrings adorned on the ears which are very bright. In them there is ruby, pearl, diamond, emerald, coral etc embellished in gold.
