Shri Raas Granth : Prakaran 1 : Verse 11 – 20
श्री रास ग्रन्थ : प्रकरण १ : चौपाई ११ – २०
एहने लाग्यो कोई एवो खार, मारो केड न मुके नार ।
में बांध्यां सामा हथियार, तो जाण्यो जोपे एहनो मार ॥११॥
Aehne lagyo koi evo khar, maro ked na muke naar |
Mae bandhya sama hathiyar, to janyo jope aehno mar ||11||
It is so jealous of me that it is chasing me everywhere. And when I faced it with all the good qualities like calmness, satisfaction & mercy then I realised about its great strength.
एणे समे जे अममां वीती, केटली कहुं तेह फजीती ।
में तो रुडी रीते ग्रहीती, पण मुने लीधी जीती ॥१२॥
Aene same je amma viti, ketli kahu teh fajiti |
Mae to rudi rite grahiti, pan mune lidhi jiti ||12||
At this time an event which occurred i.e. the way in which I was mocked at, how should I describe that? I had very well held the feet of my Sadguru, and had taken the responsibility of Shri Raj ji & the Sundarsathjis, in spite of doing that it became victorious.
बांहे ग्रही लई निसरी, में त्रण जुध कीधां फरी फरी ।
पछी गत मत मारी हरी, लई वस पोताने करी ॥१३॥
Bahe grahi lai nisri, mae tran judh kidha fari fari |
Pache gat mat mari hari, lai vas potane kari ||13||
This illusion held my hands and captured me. I fought three times with it. After that I lost my pace and intelligence to the maya and got hypnotised.
तमे अनेक सिखामण कही, पण भरम आडे में कांई नव ग्रही ।
मोसूं एवी तोहज थई, जो वाणी तमारी में नव लही॥१४॥
Tame anek sikhaman kahi, pan bharam aade me kain na grahi |
Mosu evi tohaj thai, jo vaani tamari me nav lahi ||14||
Hey Sadguru! You gave me so many instructions, but because of confusion & ignorance I could not absorb it. I am in this situation only because I did not accept and implement your instructions.
तमे पेरे पेरे समझावी, मुने तोहे बुध न आवी ।
जुगते करीने जगावी, लई तारतमे लगावी ॥१५॥
Tame pere pere samjhavi, mune tohe budh na aavi |
Jugte karine jagavi, lai tartame lagavi ||15||
You explained to me in various ways still I could not gain wisdom. Again you awakened me with strategy and gave me tartam gyan (divine knowledge).
तमे अंतरगते दीधां द्रस्टांत, त्यारे भागी मारा मननी भ्रांत ।
हवे तमे आव्या एकान्त, संसार दसा थई स्वांत ॥१६॥
Tame antargate didha drashtant, tyare bhagi mara manni brant |
Have tame aavya ekant, sansaar dasa thai swant ||16||
Hey Sadguru! You sat in my heart and gave me so many instances, then all the ignorance in me disappeared. Now as you have come and sat in my heart all the worldly desires have come to rest.
ज्यारे धणी धणवट करे, त्यारे बल वेरीनां हरे ।
वली गयां काम सराडे चढे, मन चितव्यां कारज सरे ॥१७॥
Jyare dhani dhanvat kare, tyare bal very na hare |
Vali gaya kam sarade chade, man chitavya karaj sare ||17||
When Dhamdhani (Shri Raj ji) takes you in his loving care, shelter, then he takes away all the strength of the enemies. The halted works also start again and desired work also gets completed.
मायाना मुख माहेंथी, जुगते काढी जोर ।
दई तजारक अति घणी, माया कीधी पाधरी दोर ॥१८॥
Mayana mukh mahe thi, jugte kaadhi jor |
Dai tajarat atighani, maya kidhi padhri dor ||18||
Strategically you removed me from the clutches of illusion and you punished the illusion in such a way that it ran away (vanished).
धणीना जेम धणवट, लीधी भली पेरे सार ।
आ दुख रूपणीना मुख माहेंथी, बीजो कोण काढे विना आधार ॥१९॥
Dhanina jem dhanvat, lidhi bhali pere saar |
Aa dukh rupnina mukh mahethi, bijo kon kadhe bina aadhar ||19||
As a husband defends his wife in the similar way you have taken care of me. Otherwise O Loving Husband! Without your help who would have removed me from the clutches of this sorrowful illusion?
तमे कृपा कीधी अति घणी, जाणी मूल सगाई घरतणी ।
माया पाडी पडताले हणी, बल दीधुं मुने मारे धणी ॥॥२०
Tame krupa kidhi ati ghani, jani mool sagai ghartani |
Maya paadi padtale hani, bal didhu mune mare dhani ||20||
O Beloved Husband! Keeping in mind the relationship of the Supreme Abode (Paramdham) you have shown mercy on me. Because of this I have been able to kick the illusion; in addition to this only you have given me this strength to do so.
