Shri Raas Granth : Prakaran 5 : Verse 4 – 13

Sarad nisa re poonam tani, aavyo te aaso re maas |
Sakal kalaano chandrama, eni kidho re raas ||4||

The month of Ashwin has come. On the night of Sharad Poornima the moon with its entire art is spreading the light. On such a beautiful night Shri Krishna and the gopis had played Raas.

Nimakh na kidhi re nisarta, tatkhin tene re taay ||5||

I am now describing the eternal Raas. For the entry (in Vrindavan) we Brahmasrishtis had taken the form of Gopikas and stepped into it. We had not delayed even for a single second to depart from the Vraj mandal. We had immediately left for the Raas leela on listening to the flute.

Sanjhaane same re ven vaaiyo, kain Vrundavan mojhaar |
Ene same sanu ubhu, tehne aado na aavyo re sansaar ||6||

At the end of the day (at the time of sunset) Shri Krishna had played the flute from Vrindavan. At that time we all gopis had left everything as it is. While going to Vrindavan the bondages of the world did not become hurdles for us.

Nahi to kulaahal evdo huto, chitda vedhya re pramaan |
Sath sahue re ven saambhalyo, bijo shravan tano gun jaan ||7||

Otherwise daily in evening in Vraj it used to be the time for the return of the cows, the calves and the gwalas, hence the place was always filled with chaos and it was very difficult to hear anything. But our consciousness was always situated in Shri Krishna, so we could only listen to the music of flute and our minds had became very restless while others could only take the pleasure of hearing it.

One of the sakhi was busy in her household chore, her husband and her father in law were standing beside her. On listening to the flute she lost her memory and she neglected them because she and others (all the sakhis / brahmasrishtis) had the lovely image of Shri Krishna only in their sight.

One of the sakhi was serving food. She had the plate filled with cooked food from which she was serving. At that very time on listening to the music of the flute she got emotionally charged and the plate slipped from her hand.

While leaving from home one of the sakhi’s legs was in the food plate and one touched the chest of her husband. Because on listening to the music of flute the world meant nothing in her eyes i.e. she had no affection.

One sakhi while leaving hurriedly collided with her father-in-law and he fell. The body of that sakhi wanted to reach Vrindavan as soon as possible because the mind was situated in Shri Krishna.
